It is kind of metal oxide with considerable high activity, its function as vulcanization activator or inorganic accelerator. Also, functions as acid acceptor for most of halogenated polymer such as Chloroprene (CR), Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene (CSM), Halogenated Butyl (CIIR-BIIR), Fluoroelastomer (FKM) during the process both in mixing and vulcanization.

 

VULBOND MgO-65GE/F120A shows very good balance between processing safety and curing time if together used with VULBOND ZnO-80GE applied to chloroprene (CR) compound. It is easily dispersed into rubber matrix during the mixing stage and it will avoid the sticking problem usually happened in the open mill or internal mixer; reduces the thermal expansion of vulcanizate which it will more or less enhances the resistance of heat aging.
